The 9th Tech Day, a technology and knowledge sharing event held every quarter, took place on 23rd September 2017. The event also marked the finale of InApp Techathon, a code fest organized for the various teams within InApp. Like the previous events, there were many interesting talks; most notable among them were the thought-provoking session by Mrs. Sarada Jayakrishnan (DGM(O), Terumo Penpol Limited) on “Engineers for Tomorrow” and an enthralling session on Block Chain technology by Mr. Satish Babu (President, InApp).
InApp Techathon was a hackathon session wherein the developers and designers collaborated intensively on project ideas and developed some very unique solutions. The final round concluded with presentations and demos during the Tech Day. “EVA- Ente Veetile Adukala” walked away with the first prize for their innovative speech driven recipe search engine that helps users to search for recipes with ingredients available at home. Other projects entries in the final round were – a low cost car diagnostic solution (Smartdrive), an intelligent vehicle surveillance system (VISUAL_R) and a customizable text and voice driven personal assistant software(JINX).
