The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) helps coordinate the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) functions, which are key technical services critical to the continued operations of the Internet’s underlying DNS. The Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA) was a 5-day program organised by the ICANN committee at Seoul, South Korea, to improve the participant’s understanding of how the Internet works, the “bottom-up consensus building” model of Internet governance, and how they can take part in shaping the evolution of Internet for the next generation. Mr. Satish Babu, President & Co-Founder of InApp, put forth his thoughts as one of the experts during the discussion. The session covered topics on local legislation, cybersecurity, AI Governance, IDNs and Universal Acceptance.
