For the first time, InApp has gone fully virtual with the National Student Project Awards. The second round of 9th CSI InApp National Student Project Awards was organized completely online recently with 76 different zoom meetings among the judging panel and project team members spread across 300 different places. With the COVID-19 national lock-down in place, it has been a challenging experience coordinating the event, yet we were encouraged with the amazing response from students. For the first round, we received over 650 entries from 95 colleges across 13 states in India. After the second round evaluation, 15 teams have been shortlisted for the final round. Like the previous years, the project mix has been very interesting covering some of the latest trends in AI, Blockchain, IoT, Supply Chain Management, and AR/VR.
We have been organizing the student award for engineering students in association with the CSI (Computer Society of India), Trivandrum Chapter since 2012. The objective of this award is to recognize and promote students who demonstrate exceptional talent in developing software applications. The top teams would receive cash prizes up to Rs. 50,000 along with an opportunity to work with InApp.
